For I was hungry and you gave me food-- Matt 25:35
Drop-In Center Gallup
Every morning as the sun is rising in the eastern sky, Men and women begin to walk U.S. Route 66 One of the most famous highways in the United States. Their journey is not for fun and adventure. They are not seeking to recall the glamour of a bygone era. This is not vacation time and this is not nostalgia. The men and women of whom we speak are beginning another day on the streets of Gallup. Where they will spend the day is never certain. Where that day will end; where they rest their heads is never known. Thanks to you Catholic Charities of Gallup can offer them a place of comfort and peace in the early morning hours. They are welcome to begin their day with a warm meal and a cup of coffee. And a smile. There is no preaching. There is no judgment. There is only love for our sisters and brothers. We see the face of Christ in each of these visitors to our doors. In turn we try to be Christ to each of them. Thank You for your help.
